That record was the first time I ever heard Game, he was a nobody at that point at least in the East. I can't speak for "the streets of LA", but that sounds like a statement Game would make cause its impossible to prove, right or wrong 
Either way, Joe's response of "you sold nothing, and I sold 500k more than that" was tough as hell for a good 13 minutes. Then What We Do and Documentary both went crazy and Game finesse his was to Superstardom while Joe went back to being a hermit
