The list is pretty spot on. I couldn't think of a better ranking when judging these rappers based on these criteria.

If Ice-T can grow up in Jersey, Kurupt can grow up in Philly, Xzibit in New Mexico and make the list…Pac should definitely be here
Ice moved to LA at 13...that's young enough to have grown up there. The problem with Pac is he was based out of the Bay in his early career and didn't rep LA until his final year of life.

If Kurupt and Xzibit make anybody's case it should be Rage.

The game is legit top 10 if not top 5 based on his catalog. But he is so corny, I can see people leaving him out. I’m a fan, but I wouldn’t never admit to that fact in real life. That’s how embarrassing he is

I still think Eazy should have been higher on the list. He’s single handedly responsible for the West Coast being on the map to this very day. If it wasn’t for him, there wouldn’t be a Dre, Cube, Snoop, Dot and even Game’s bytch ass wouldn’t be around. Mothafukka got the man tattooed on his arm, but failed to acknowledge Eazy.

They got Xzibit, Lady of Rage, Kurupt and Ice-T, but no 2Pac?

:patrice:

Something tells me they didn't want to put him 2nd to save themselves the inevitable abuse from certain people who consider him the undisputed Westcoast GOAT.

EDIT: Just seen its LA rappers not West Coast. :snoop:

Naming 50 LA rappers is a feat in itself. Wow!

Game is probably the biggest name in rap with not a big impact as far as legacy. His 2 songs that still get played are 50 features and he has no stans and no clones or crew

You have to factor in that most of the Game’s fan were folks that didn’t like 50 plus you had cats getting behind him including Jada, Styles, Nas, Lil Wayne, and Fat Joe co-signing him
