I'm sure game's not that concerned with the sales. If red did 100k last year I'm sure he wasn't expecting more than that. Plus he probably wasn't making much off album sales even when he was going plat. Like most artist he probably makes 95% of his money from shows. He's probably just happy the music is getting a mostly positive response

Why are people neglecting the fact that he basically did this independently, I thought it was a mixtape and shyt until a certain legend dropped it on here. I wonder what he would do if he actually did this WITH interscope. It seems like his buzz has grown since Red Album at least in my circle.

Def Jam didn't put one drop of promo into Jeezy's album except a single (I Do) just like Game (with Celebration) yet he did 233k first week.

rap is the only genre where it's acceptable to give away your music for free....it's almost a requirement to do if you want to stay hot...

No, nikkas still download albums like crazy. The problem is white folks don't care about rap as much. Let's all be honest. White folks are gonna decide if a rapper goes platinum or not. Period. And a lot of CACs are no longer fukking with rap as much as they used to. They got dubstep, trance, all that shyt to fall into now... and those artists don't even care about albums.

All we're seeing is the general public (Aka mostly whites) no longer as entranced by rap music. Get white folks legit liking rap again, you'll see a few platinum plaques from artists not named Jay, Wayne, Drake, Em or Kanye.

Good numbers. 75k-80k is on par with big Sean and he swept 2012 without a lp. He'll prolly sell a total of 250k this time next year but he'll be a free agent. I doubt Game gives a fukk really but his album was really fun to listen to. I ain't seeing a dime off it With that being said, whenever 50 gets himself together, everybody in here saying sales dont matter better not be on that hypocrite shyt .
