how the fukk you gonna START A RECORD LABEL and you had problems as an artist yourself just trying to get your records DISTRIBUTED by INTERSCOPE?

"As Rolex Records is still in the beginning stages, Game says he hasn't had much time to figure out his long-term goals for the label." :shaq2:

^^^^basically GAME admitting that he doesn't KNOW WHAT THE FUKK HE'S DOING

If Game is in charge of your career you should stop rapping. That nikka would never put 1 of his artist on any of his singles. He'll put trashy artist like Tyga on 1 tho.

Mothaphukas act like running a record label is like operating a lemonade stand

if only it was that simple.....

with an already oversaturated market of unsigned youtube visual artists out thier, the visibility shrinks everyday.....

along with the fact that "indy" upstarts are not giving the same platform as "major label subsidiaries" not only on broadcast radio but the internet as well i.e (pandora)

and it doesn't bode well for the artists as well.....it's bad enough the artist has to deal with a Major getting 70% split of every dollar royalty, check this thread on digital royalty payment for streams as opposed to downloads:

http://www.the-coli.com/booth/64934-how-many-plays-does-take-stream-pay-artist-much-download.html

now an artist will get little to nothing with an imprint acting as a middleman with it's bullshyt publishing deal and production deal which does nothing but eats up a budget that the artist will be held accountable for,

also artists should realize that signing to an artist's label just solely based on the noterity alone and not looking at his track record business wise is just foolish just being "THE GAME" is not gonna be enough leverage to make his imprint standout anymore than any other upstart label

to be frank...THEY AIN'T ENOUGH BUSHES IN AMERICA FOR THE GAME to THROW EVERY Program Director and Deejay to play his artists......

plus like most artists running "labels" the real question is HOW "HANDS ON" is the GAME willing to be to make his company succeed??....

because i don't think STAT QUO is gonna cut it...considering i recall his first mixtape which had the big AFTERMATH cosign .....i came across his "mixtape" sitting in a box with 500 other copies of his mixtape, because some lazy ass deejay Stat personally gave it to in Georgia. had them shyts sitting in his crib like dirty dishes.......

smh ..... if Stat couldn't make sure that deejay and his street team flood the streets with music...along with the fact he couldn't even get an album release on AFTERMATH for his damn self....what makes him qualified to release music of other artists?

Why the hate? I think it's a good move. No one wants to hear about Blackwallstreet, it's time to move on. Stat and Game been around for a while they should have a pretty good idea at how this works. I don't see what all of the fuss is about.

I was thinking the same thing when Chuck started Slam Jamz back in 1996.

People NEED TO HEAR ABOUT BLACKWALLSTREET, especially ARTISTS looking to sign to Game's new imprint...

the question remains...WTF happened with that Brand started by him along with his brother BIG FASE 100??

These guys NEVER released a RETAIL ALBUM by any of it's artists signed to the label...

also keep in mind BLACKWALLSTREET is still listed as a SUBSIDARY of INTERSCOPE even though supposedly THE GAME is looking for a new home for himself as an artist...:whew:

it's quite clear HE KNOW LONGER EVEN OWNS THE NAME to BLACKWALSTREET anymore and decided to start up a new venture to make up for the underachieving blackwallstreet brand

which isn't suprising in the music industry....Diddy once released a statement thanking Lyor Cohen for allowing him to keep the Bad Boy name when he was jumping ship over to Interscope

"That was very important to me. You know, Lyor Cohen, he let me keep my name and I was able to have my name go with me over to Interscope Records, so it'll be Bad Boy/Interscope."

Co-Sign on the bolded.

This reminds me of the Timbaland/Beat Club situation when he decided to start Mosley Music Group because Beat Club wasn't doing shyt.
