the gap betwixt Jeezy & Ross is abhorrent.

Jeezy has never really been super commercially huge, he's generally for street rap purists, he's like michael jackson in mad hoods and shyt like that. He's not on twitter, dropping ustreams, on twitter spamming or posting mad videos to YN showing his lavish lifestyle and all that shyt.

That isn't true. He is a platinum selling artist breh.

This excuse he doesn't put out videos just sounds lazy to me. I dunno, its 2012 and you want to use the excuse he's not visible because he's too good to shoot videos or have someone manage his social media? That doesn't make him 'real' or win him points. In fact it is fukking up his brand and money. He might as well advertise CTE in the newspaper at this point since he wants to keep it so real.

The rest I don't really care about. Like I said I don't speak for other regions I am not in. Out in California Ross is a much much bigger artist and people really do like his music whether anyone wants to just come to terms with it or not. Los Angeles is a major area so we are not talking about a few hundred thousand people here either. And Jeezy barely gets any love in Vegas and Rick Ross again is played every other song somehow.

Like I said, I can't speak on other regions but out here Ross is a much bigger artist and one people are really into. His music is constantly played around here and has been for a while now. Jeezy has a single out here that has been popular for about 2-3 months now but Rick Ross is pretty much on every other song that gets played.

I didn't really care for his mixtapes personally and he really has never switched up his flow. I feel like Young Jeezy verses are interchangeable. Not saying Rick Ross' are not at times either but he hasn't been popular as long so it doesn't sound as dated.

Ross don't get heavy play here on the radio no more. That Omarion song gets more play than any Ross single.

Quotables are purely subjective homeboy. I know plenty of ppl who know tracks like So Sophisticated, Rich Off Cocaine, Im Not A Star, and Valley of Death word for word. Not to say that you cant say the same for Jeezy, but if ur argument is that the streets know Jeezys music and not Ross', u might as well sit down bruh cuz u talkin out ya ass.

And stop using BMF and Hustlin like they prove u know anything about Ross' music. If u REALLY out here in these streets, its damn near impossible not to hear MMG banging in through somebody speakers. You telling on urself if u disagree :mjpls:
nikkas use to turnt up in the klub screaming loud as shyt when Rozay say "yo bytch be fukkin ordinary nikkas" or "Balling on u bytches like im Rondo" :lawd:

Get Ya Mind Right is such a powerful song. That was the one that made me a fan after resisting. I had to go back to the turf, kick it with the old crew and hear that one over some brown water to get it. then i ran with it.

But somehow Jeezy sells out the same arenas in LA and is played more on radio in LA. I'm not from there but men lie, women lie....
Obviously I'm just talking about solo songs, not Dj khaled ft Drake, Wayne and Ross songs. Even ASAP Rocky has the #1 hiphop track with those features.

Anyhow, numbers is not all. That's why I'm not claiming that Jeezy is a bigger artist. His fans might just be more dedicated, or older, or more hood (less internet time). I'd assume older is definitely one thing, they're not active on twitter trying to get his shyt trending topics on twitter, not running around on various websites, not really "stanning" so to say.

And The reason to why Jeezy does it the old school way (what I think) is a bit selfish, but it works for him.
His fans doesn't wanna see a real dude wilding out on twitter, or posting pictures from the gym. They wanna see videos of him giving school supplies to kids or holla at him IRL making it rain the strip club. He doesn't wanna be in the same category as other commercial stars. He'd rather be in the same league as Yo Gotti, Lil Boosie and them but at the same time Jay-z. While Ross is more like a gangsta version of Big Sean mixed with Puff Daddy.

I think Jeezy is maximizing his profit doing what he does (or maybe not, but he's still caking on a serious level and has been doing it for 8 straight years) but it leaves his team slackin.

What I wonder is if the people putting up the money WMG/Def Jam and them caking enough contra what they are getting back from his sales?
Cause he's probably had the same promotion Weezy, Drake, Jay, Wayne, Eminem and them have but moved extremely less.
