You really don't understand how singles work do you? Not everything is apples to apples.

"Pop That" is French Montana's single and he is not a popular artist yet, French Montana is signed to MMG and Rick Ross has a good relationship with Lil Wayne. He also has the best verse on the song.

Just because someone barely goes gold like lets say those LMFAO doesn't mean getting them on singles doesn't move more. Flo Rida has never gone platinum but he sells millions of singles.
Okay Imma say minezzz about this wack discussion for the last time.

yeah Flo-rida and LMFAO would certainly make Jeezys songs bigger :krs:
That doesn't make sense, the songs would be wack as fukk. Jeezys fans would hate on the feature, and their fans...(I don't think they have any).

Jeezy could replace Ne-yo with any singer, he just went with one of his nikkas from his label (ne-yo is the singer you get when Def Jam doesn't wanna pay big bucks for another feature) and got Warren G to produce the track. That wasn't even the biggest song on the album, the track with Plies was the biggest (I guess Plies made that the biggest too :comeon:)

Just like Ross single with Usher with Beyonces producer flopped, when Usher has bigger singles and albums than Ne-yo.
There is no logics behind what you are saying, In my field of study logics is essential (applied maths).

In any event Ross is a 1 of 4 artists on the track, and he's the 3rd biggest far behind #1 and #2 . And imo and most people Drake had the best verse, followed by Ross (but that might only be on the east coast). It was like when Big Sean had Nicki Minaj, Kanye & Chris Brown on his singles thinking he was a platinum rapper and got the cold hearted truth that cats didn't actually cop those singles cause he was on it. Wayne and Drake actually have 4-5 top 10 singles in the fukking country without videos, before they're even pushed to radio.

Ross is poppin like a popstar, Jeezy is poppin but in a different way. Ross is slightly bigger, Jeezy sells more (both singles and albums). And that's all facts we have.

LMAO @ 'applied maths' having anything to do with this.

You are not from LA so there is no way that you would know that Ne Yo is a popular artist out here, especially on the radio, and has been since he came out. People are singing the hook, I can see and hear them, they are not rapping young jeezy's generic verse.

Lets just stop here, you are not out here to argue with me about who is the bigger artist as far as visibility, exposure, and popularity. I don't speak in whatever area you are from so you should do the same. Rick Ross is headlining the biggest show for Christmas and Jeezy isn't on the line up either. He just isn't as popular as Rick Ross is out here, that is it. Keep it moving.

He hasnt. Ross has another 2-3 albums left in him. And yall really sleeping on the work that MMG is doing right now. The sales are not the end all be all of success in this game. Ross has a TRUE entreprenurial spirit, i got a feeling dude is making big moves in the background. Hes really one of the last rappers left that i think can reach Jays level of wealth and status.

If i had made a thread about what Ross is doing in 2012 in 2009, most bloggers wouldve called me crazy. Yall not seeing the big picture because u too caught up in ur emotions

I like them Both. Jeezy sells more record because he earned a Die hard fan base when he dropped a classic. He reminded me of DMX when he came out w/ hard material and just killed the game.

But Jeezy has NEVER had a run like Ross is, between him and his artists there is never a time when they don't have something in rotation... Listen to the radio and u hear "mmmmmm mayyyyybach music" 20 times a day. For Ross, I think it was the melodic production that lead the way for him.. He just makes smoother catchier shyt.. Ross capitalized in a way jeezy couldn't, you can't deny it.

You want visibility, popularity and trending topics & forum posts, go argue with Justin Bieber or Nicki Minaj stans. I'm on here to discuss nothing but hiphop.
Go to Compton, Watts and these places and see who's poppin, can't limit hiphop to CSU campuses & promotion bucks. Is what I'm saying. Just like if I went by who was poppin in my little circle in school, I'd say that Beach House are :lawd:. But looking at their numbers, nah not really. Looking at visibility and popularity I would also say that Miley Cyrus was on Drakes level, looking at her numbers naah not really.

And still I've not said that Ross is "more popular" or anything else you are saying. I don't know why you keeping on ushering those things like a 12 year old Justin Bieber stan.
I've not argued against that shyt. And of course people sing hooks, it's been like that since hiphop started. Even with the biggest artist of last decade Eminem they sing Rihannas verse and don't rap Eminems verses. The reason to why I stated my field of expertise is cause I enjoy numbers and logics. If you wanna bring up visibility on blogs, you've got to show me how much they pay to get their shyt posted. You wanna show me youtube views, you've got to show me the average age of the artist fanbase contra the average age of youtube viewers and whether it's promoted on youtube or not.

And yes Ross was practically headlining the biggest summer festival in my city as well, but Jeezy was the one who shut it down.
And really I've not heard white dudes and shyt like that talking a lot about Jeezy, but then again I'll never find myself in east new york or uptown to see if cats fukk with Jeezy.
All I know is that they sold out the same venue.

Like I've done in all my posts (cause of the lengths it takes to respond to illogical posts) I'll conclude: Ross is most likely a bigger brand (can't say that it's statistically significant) but Jeezy seems to be a more important brand to people. Jeezy seems to have a bigger fan base. Jeezy seems to not have a lot of bandwaggon fukkboys like say Ross, Jay-z, Kanye, Drake and them. In the end Ross is a bigger popstar, not a much bigger rapper. Ross is Microsoft and Jeezy is IBM. IBM puts up bigger numbers and is a big brand to a large group of cats but not very interesting to average cats. While Ross is a bigger commercial brand and all the mortals care about him, but it doesn't add up enough in terms of sales to throw Jeezy in the bushes despite the mega marketing bucks, twitter and all these other things like Microsofts vs IBM.

Ross hasnt reached his peak yet though. Him and Jeezy are meeting kinda in the middle right now with Ross going up and Jeezy coming down.

And how is dropping a Compilation, a solo album, meeks album, and headlining a tour right now as we speak not having a big year?? Nobody has a resume like that this year. Yall just like to conviently throw Ross' accomplishments in the bushes to fit whatever trivial argument yall trying to make.

Think about it, compare MMG of 2009 to MMG of 2012.....that boy dun put in alot of work and its definitely paying off. U dont have to like the nikka but to downplay the success this man has had in these three is just hoeish behavior. Willful ignorance is the term im looking for
YMCMB is shytting on Ill Will Records. I guess that means Wayne is > than Nas huh.

Like i said yall too emotional. Yall would be throwing them same smilies at me if i told yall in 2009 Ross would have 2 more gold albums, that he would have gotten Wale a gold album, Meek a release date, and Gunplay a solo deal.

Dude aint like Jeezy, Ross WORKS nonstop, its silly to think that he's reached his peak when his label just really got off the ground.

Its them emotions man, you can never get a logical debate in a Ross thread because yall dudes are consumed by ur hate for this man
