Rhymefest went out there to work on the album. He wasn't a yes man and kanye sent him home so we ended up with lines about bleached a$$holes and bleach on t-shirts

OP has a good point. Once an artist gets exposed, it starts to become obvious which of their works were not their own creation. Makes you rethink their entire artistic identity.
I can't even listen to Graduation nowadays without hearing those verses in Big Sean's voice (i.e. 1st verse of Good Morning, 3rd verse of Good Life.)
Yeah, Graduation is the most obvious one, especially these songs. That "You got Ds muthafukkah, D's, Rosie Perez" was so clearly a Big Sean line, during that SuperDuper flow era.
Kanye is a producer B.
He gets the same pass as Puff Daddy and Dr. Dre. We look to them to "put together" (produce) records not actually "compose" (neither write songs or play music) them.
There are producers in every genre, but only in hip-hop do they have solo albums as the lead artist.
The artistic part of music is very draining that is why so few artists have classics without a producer like, Ye, Dre or Diddy behind them. Someone to vision the bigger picture and make it come to life.
All 3 have the most classics in hip-hop under their belts collectively and individually.

I've never considered Kanye to be one of the greatest "rappers" due to this, he doesn't write his raps but he does have the vision, concepts, the voice and delivery to make REALLY good songs. As an overall hip hop artist, we can;t discredit him too much cause the nikka can actually rap and he's produced some of the best shyt we've ever heard in hip hop. Same goes for Dre. Drake, ehh, not so much. He's always championed his "pen game" and always bragged about being one of the best spitters, that of course goes out the window the more we hear about writing tents, reference tracks and this nikka strong-arming artist out of their own songs.

"Activated....back to Vegas" on Good Life has Big Sean written all over it. Even the way he delivered the line.
I agree with you on guys like Kanye and Dre though. Because they are producers, their musical ability and vision is much more explicit. Even if they don't write lyrics, we know they are capable of actually creating music.
With let's say...Drake or other emcees who are primarily vocalist it's a much more damning indictment. If you take away their ghostwriters and producers and leave them in a music studio by themselves, nothing will be created.
This is why I have so much respect for artists like DJ Quik and Big KRIT. It takes so much creativity to consistently produce ALL of your own shyt and write ALL of your own shyt at a high quality level.

Krit is just cut and paste of Andre 3ooo and is just a biter tho.
DJ quik was never great at all as an actual rapper.
Nor was I ever into his actual work of any kind at all.
As he and his crew perpetrated why we are here today discussing it and I just don't understand how culturally people don't hold these artist accountable for their bullshyt.
Is it because the fan wanna pull the same coup.
or just don't know the culture, themselves.

A whole lot of fallacy in this post but I won't derail the overall discussion by dissecting it.
Carry on.
