lenny bruce broke down the doors for comedians to include vulgarity and adult oriented material in their act. he got locked up for getting on stage and saying "shyt,fukk,bytch,cum,******,spic,jew" etc.
sort of like what 2 live crew did in rap music
Richard pryor to me just took it to the next level and was FUNNY AS HELL doing it.
after him most comedians followed his formula. which lead to an over-saturation of black comics doing the "cacs act like this, and nikkaz act like this" style of joke telling
IMO that cac jeff foxworthys success is basically Richard pryor style humor backwards. that "you mighth be a redneck" bulshyt is cacs version of "nikka jokes". ..."if you scratch your ass you might be a redneck, if you pick your nose you might be a redneck, if you eat cheese you might be a redneck" and cacs just ate that shyt up because finally they had their own brand of "we the nikkaz" style of comedy. That whole blue collar comedy tour was nothing but the kings of comedy for white folks.
George lopezs success is basically due to the same thing..."Mexicans do this, Mexicans do that"........................."nikkaz"

to me i don't laugh at kevin, only time i laughed at him was in paper soldiers. I think Mike Epps is way ahead of kevin, people just dikkriding kevin right now cause he's everywhere. He even ruins award shows when he gets up there and tries to be funny. shyt be awk.your joking right

Dave chappelle had that crossover appeal. Which was why he gave it up IMO. He attracted to big of a white audience with "nikka comedy". I remember goin to work and cacs would say "did u see chapelle show last nite" and it was a lil uncomfortable. I think it made chapelle feel like a sambo.
Tom green was like a practical jokester. His comedy was for shock value more than humor
