The GoFundME thing is getting out of control

It seems like people who havent either taken responsibility for stuff or something.

I have two friends who have started a goFundMe fund raisers after the death of a parent to help with cost of funeral and stuff like that. Another one (not really a friend but this cute chick i know) had one started for her to help with medical bills after a serious car accident.

Now mind you im not the most responsible person, myself. I have things i should not neglect that I do. But some people are abusing this thing because they werent responsible, period.

Like the girl i mentioned earlier didnt have medical insurance. One of my friends who started one wound getting the parents life insurance money a little while later and next thing you know they're buying luxury sports cars for themselves and their boo along with Harley motorcycles. And to think i felt so bad that i couldnt contribute much at the time of the funeral (was in a bit of a pinch)
Now, im not telling anyone what to do with their money or anthing but i just feel like some people are bypassing some personal responsibility because they know they can broadcast sh!t over social media and have people contribute to their cause when they should have had insurance.

The only GoFundMes I take serious are the ones with an absolute need/necessity that is out of the person's hand.

I pay no mind to the ones that are started by people to get money for whatever happened in their life because they weren't on their shyt.

It's completely voluntary so what's your problem? If I want to give my money to someone who wants to build a spaceship, it's my prerogative.

Does anyone ever fund those things for ppl? Obviously the publicized ones do but I just laugh at the random Facebook friends I have that start one. I've donated to one ever and that was a dude who was roommates of a friend of mine that got cancer.

i have no issues with it b/c no one is forced to donate.
i dont know any people personally who set one up, but if i felt it was unnecessary i would simply not donate and KIM.

You don't need health insurance for a car accident. Car insurance handles that. "Cute" chick hustled you.

A lot of funerals been paid off through go fund me.
Yall wanna know the hustle I've noticed...anytime somebody's family member gets shot or killed and the news stations want to talk to you about it, talk to em and tell them you got a gofundme page set up. You'll get some sympathy money. Especially if it's a kid.
