This is great for their stars, lowkey Morant and JJJ have missed good amount of time last 2 years but no one cares because they win. You have a team like this, you are setup for success.

Hard to deny that this team can play very well without Ja. And that's no hate on Ja cause I'm on record liking him as he was coming up. But it definitely goes to show that a lot of the ppg stat nerds and "defense doesn't matter" fools have no idea what they are talking about. If you believed them then removing Ja should have been an automatic blowout loss, but the reality more subtle than that.

Star balls out and loses because the team didn’t put up much effort = he needs more help

Star gets hurt and team still doing well = They don’t need you.

These athletes can’t win with some people :russ:
It just means they are a good team. They are the #2 team in the league for a reason. They needed Ja for that last game tho

They lost game 4 because there was no Ja to create and close the game out.

Or maybe they were only that close because of how they were playing without Ja. They only lost by 3, the previous game with Ja they had lost by 30. You can't just assume that Ja would have closed the game out but ignore how differently shyt might have gone for the first 3.5 quarters.

Again, I'm not saying the team is necessarily better without Ja on the court, but it's definitely a fair question. The fact they were 20-2 without him in the regular season was one thing, but now in this series they're what, -26 in the three games Ja played and +36 in the two games he didn't play? Basically three very close games (two with him and one without), plus a blowout loss with him and a blowout win without him. Not a big enough sample size yet to know but that regular season record adds something to it....and it's definitely enough of a sample size to raise questions. We'll see how Game 6 and 7 go.....if they win Game 6 or even keep it close then you seriously have to wonder whether he's really having an MVP-level impact like a lot of folk were saying earlier this season.

Ja has closed them out before. Example: Game 2. They needed every single point from him in the 4th. Unless you wanna tell me that closers aren't necessary lol..

You're not gonna have to worry about that because we've seen teams play terrible game 5's up 3-1 before.. GSW showed zero urgency. That was dumb on their part because now someone could get hurt game 6 but they will obviously play worlds better at home for game 6.. probably win by double digits.
