Idiots actually think they’re a better team without him :heh:

Warriors were on cruise control last night
The eye test says that they definitely work better a team without ja. They could work on fixing that in the off-season by getting ja to by in. It’s a weird situation where is the best on the team but not best for getting the most of them. They need to find a middle ground because the teams falls asleep when ja is playing compared to this

Advanced stats be fukked up sometimes. The only change in the starting lineup is Tyus Jones. And that nikka has a 111.7 rating while Ja has a 111.1. So it makes absolutely no sense for the Grizzlies to be that drastically better when the guy sitting in for Ja has a even worse rating. That might just have to do with the fact that the Grizzlies switch up their style of play when Ja is out.
I think it’s also due to everyone being able to shoot when ja isn’t on the court. They get passive when he starts isoing a lot. The offense just changes but ja is def your panic mode closer in any game

They’re just a completely different team without Ja. They lean more on their defense and rebounding and their offense has a lot more motion to it. Theyre not better without Ja especially in the playoffs when you need a superstar if you want to go deep in the playoffs.

1. TYUS JONES IS A TERRIBLE DEFENDER
AND HES STARTED IN JA'S ABSENCE.

2. DILLON BROOKS THEIR
BEST PERIMETER DEFENDER PLAYED
IN 22 OF THOSE GMS JA MISSED
BUT ONLY PLAYED IN 11 GMS
WITH JA DURING THE REG SEASON
SO THERE GOES YOUR REGULAR
SEASON DEFENSIVE RATING STAT.

Don't blame the site... Don't blame the loading times. Don't blame a captcha. Get your hoe asses in here and explain why the Grizz melted in another 4th quarter without Ja.

So the same team that lost by 30 in their final game with Ja had a chance to win the next 3 games without him? And you're talking like Memphis wasn't up at the end of the game in Game 1 until Ja badly missed three straight layups and a free throw.

No one seriously thinks that a team led by Dillon Brooks and Desmond Bane is superior to the Golden State Warriors. But Memphis did more than enough to prove that they are a very, very good team even when Ja is not on the floor.

Three games with Ja:
+5
-1 (blew the lead late)
-30

Three games without Ja:
+39
-3 (blew the lead late)
-14

And you think we're the ones who have something to explain?

Yes because games get away from teams in the playoffs.. a blowout can happen on either end. it's the close competitive games where when you need a player to create they can do that on they own and that's Ja.. he put the Warriors in the dirt game 2. They needed him for 4 and 6.

Act as if you've never watched playoff bball before brehs... Lmao

Ja was what 39-10-9 for the three games he played and efficient? And they had nobody to guard him?

LMAO... no they sure couldn't use Ja when Dillon and Co. are putting up contested threes at the ends of these games..

No one has claimed that Ja isn't their best scorer in close games. Yes, he's great when the game gets close. But wouldn't you rather the game not be close?

* This season Memphis had 19 double-digit wins with Ja on the court....and 17 double-digit losses with Ja on the court.

* Meanwhile they had 16 double-digit wins without Ja.....and only THREE double-digit losses without Ja.

19-17 record in blowouts with Ja.....16-3 record in blowouts without Ja.

And it's not like they didn't lose close games with Ja on the court. They lost Game 1 against the Warriors by 1 point with Ja missing his final three layups and a free throw in the last 2 minutes. They lost Game 4 against Minny by 1 point with Ja going 1-3 on layups late and committing a critical turnover.

Being a 50-50 shot to win you a close game doesn't look as good when you're 5x more likely to get blown out. Ja is getting the full benefits of a superstar volume shooter with no defense - when he scores you give him all the credit, when he doesn't score you absolve him of all the blame, and whatever he doesn't do on defense gets ignored regardless.

I'm not saying that Ja's not a great player. I'm not saying that Memphis doesn't need a primary scorer if they want to be a title contender. But what I am saying this that this is a very-very good team even when Ja isn't on the court, and he needs to do a better job of fitting into what they're doing without him and having a positive impact across the board, not just being a one-dimensional offensive player who "might" go off for you when the game is late.

Nope.. in the three games he shot over 50% and 40% from the three. GSW have NOBODY that can guard him. He's too fast and athletic in those matchups. They can't get close.. so they give him space. So then he either gets a head full of steam and gets to the rim anyway... draws the defense and passes out or he just shoots given all the space and was hitting them because of how open he was.

Game 3 they lost by 30 but Ja was only -6. i don't generally love +/- as a stat but for game 3 it made sense because he actually shot 13-21 from the field.

The "others" for Memphis shot well under 40% for the field game 3.

This thread is trash on both sides

Ya didn't watch a Grizz game all year, yet are loud and wrong as fukk
Speaking of loud and wrong:
Grizz shot 39 percent, outrebounded and outscored in the paint in both games, Bane with a bad back. And the best the Warriors could do is a 1-point victory

Grizzlies in 5.

See, I could do that same shoulda coulda woulda goofy shyt you just did
But then again, you've been loud and wrong about the Warriors since 2015, so this comes as no surprise.

Hit dogs hollering. Don’t quote me please
I remember all the sweet shyt you talked when the Grizzlies were up on the Warriors back in 2015, and ever since then you've made it a mission of yours to be wrong about them every step of the way.

Free yourself from that hate, nxgga.
