His setup for this shyt was actually good but he was such a emo broken douche from all his failings. It took a while before people gave it a chance and rightfully so. Yet the overall direction and journey it took from this his king julien gimmick was brilliant.

So one episode when king julien was mistreating one of those characters I wanna say morty. My momma snapped and cussed at the tv or king julien like I never heard before. She was like, bih you better be nice to morty.
