Haha Whoever green lit Ancient Aliens needs their head examined.

:beli:

I'd watch, but nah. Rockefeller and co. are much more controversial/interesting. Unless there's something about Edison I'm overlooking. I mean these dudes beefed with presidents, unions, and the competition. At the same time, they improved the lives of millions.
Sad thing is ancient aliens probably gets them the best ratings

Edision was known thief and discredit another man just to get rich.

I'd heard about him being a thief, but not from any credible source. Definitely interesting but this tops it, IMO. You plan on watching?

No offense but I've never seen a slave build a fortune by connecting the US via railroads, amass a fortune by creating an oil monopoly then use that same fortune for various philanthropy aims, get millions of dollars by revolutionizing the production of steel to surpass the UK in steel out put in the late 1800's, create Fordism, and I haven't seen a slave conduct 'railroad battles'

It just didn't happen son. We know who built America. They have a tv show coming on soon on History Channel Oct. 16th 9/8c :yeshrug:

I was able to finally watch it today, and :whew:...

It had more of a documentary feel than I expected, but fortunately that didn't take away form the action (or drama).

Rockefeller is too stoic for me, but I have nothing but admiration for his ambition and foresight. Vanderbilt was dope, but you cant have the throne forever- and I was surprised he let those two upstarts hustle him out of millions like that. Small thing to a boss, I guess.

I'm looking forward to Carnegie come for the title next episode.
