I went from 276 pounds to 160 pounds (I'm 182 pounds today, I slacked off) doing One Meal A Day and looking back on it now, I do not know where I got that willpower from because It's hard as hell for me to do One Meal A Day today. I go to the gym, and I work in construction, I gotta eat Breh. I really want to get back on it though, but to answer your question OP, I've never read the book.

Lost 20 pounds in the last 2 months doing the one meal a day. 210 to 190 now…still gotta drop down to 175 . I feel so much healthier and my mind is clearer. Not Muslim, but a great book for all black people to read to atleast have a good level of self awareness with anything you put in your mouth.

Pause :dame:

Has anyone read this book & followed the guidelines? How has it affected you? I know intermittent fasting is basically ripped from this book
I’ve been vegetarian omad for about 9 months now

Only thing I don’t do is I forget to toast my bread sometimes but I pretty much follow it to a tee now after learning and growing in the material pretty much all my life

A lotta y’all making the concept of losing weight and having a healthy lifestyle harder than it is.

• Eat colorful
• Stay in a caloric deficit
• Do weight training
• Stay consistent.

That’s it

So you want me to move around like I work at UPS, color coordinate my food like they skittles, and eat bread and water. Every day.

fukk you and your "everyone can do it" positive mentality. Ain't nobody trying hear that shyt when the McRib is out 2 for $5.

Be all in your calories like you not from Harlem and shyt. :dame::scust:

First was given this book at 15 by a uncle who did 16 joints and converted while up north.

shyt changed my entire life.

I started eating once a day at 16,and I still do.

I used to follow the book to the T,but I have since incorporated cauliflower and broccoli and collard greens into my diet, but alot of the book still resonates in my daily eating habits.

One meal a day will definitely drop the pounds off. I did it when I was broke, and I lost a lot of weight.
Yea, I started doing 16:8 which is a good starting point, but once I got in the groove of doing 16:8 Intermittent Fasting, I started doing 20/4 then eventually OMAD.

Losing weight on OMAD was like... weird because it took a couple days for the weight to fall off, but when the weight falls off, it falls off FAST. Let it be known that I had no gym membership when I started fasting either.

I want to go back down to 160, but a Breh who I talked to at the gym asked me if I wanted to be able to defend myself?

I asked him what?
He told me If I lose to much weight a dude gon slam me in a fight... I'm #shortgang though. :snoop:

Never read cause I assumed the main focus was not eating pork
Always thought it had the GOAT title for a diet book though
