I guess they gonna get rid of White? They don't have enough mins for all those guards. Brogdon is a legit offensive player....50/40/90 guy and is Andre Miller steady with the rock. He's gonna need to start. Then you got Smart who's locked in for 35 mins a game. White is gonna have to settle for scraps and he aint gonna like that...

Hell no

I rather keep White and trade Smart if it comes to them deciding which one to move

Man, I haven't posted in Celticsbog is forever. I remember thr days of arguing on that forum if Avery Bradley should start over Ray Allen. Good time :dead:

Avery was my man. My childhood barber still has a Judas Shuttlesworth Ray Allen poster hanging in the shop all these years later. But Celticsblog is cac echo chamber where the mods ban people who have dissenting opinions in the name of "trolling." I did write some fanposts in there u could check out tho.

Yeah that's sort of why I stopped posting there. It just reeked of CACs with their own kind of "humor"

AIght I'll check it out, post the links

Zero chance the C's tinker with their starting lineup. Statistically the best starting lineup in the league, and one of the best defensive lineups in recent history. Pretty much the sole reason they turned their season around
I agree with you....but the Celts cough up the rock way too much. That's their fatal flaw. And it aint gonna change if they go roll out that same lineup because Smart is not a true pg. Brogdon is an allstar level pg, his assist to turnover ratio is through the roof...and you don't even have to worry about defense because he can play that too.

You're smoking.

Smart is infinitely superior to White. The only question is does Brogdon start over Smart.

Or do you convince one of them to come off the bench and then in crunch time bring out the death lineup of:

Brogdon
Smart
Tatum
Brown
Horford/Williams

"Superior" is subjective

Marcus Smart is the DPOY, but Derrick White did a better job on Steph Curry than Smart did. So the drop off defensively isn't that wide
It's about fulfilling a need, not really a player vs player convo. Derrick White is MILES better at ball handling and playmaking, and if you don't agree then you're smoking lol. Smart provides no playmaking whatsoever

At the 2nd bolded. This is why it might be a problem there. Would Smart have the lesser ego to realize he should be a 6th man and let Brogdon start?

1st round pick to dump Walker and get Hortford
1st round pick and future 1st round pick for Derrick White
1st round pick for Brogdon

Stevens out here acting like Bizarro Presti. I guess every Ying got to have a Yang.
The way draft picks should be used, especially if they're late first rounders.

Unless you're in a deep rebuild or hoarding picks to trade for a superstars, mid to late first rounders are extremely overrated, almost useless.

That's a steal. If Brogndon actually stays healthy.

Pacers are one of those donor franchises. Giving away quality players for nothing.
