The intro to Wu-Tang forever is an all time terrible start to a CD (goat albums with WOAT intros)

Shyt I fukking LOVE LOVE LOVE Wu-Tang Forever but not only do I cosign this list ...I don't think Forever is a Top 5 Wu album!

36 Chambers
Liquid Swords
Cuban Linx
Return to the 36: Dirty
Supreme Clientele
Ironman
Shyt 6 Feet Deep Gravediggaz
Silent Weapons for Quiet Wars

I'd rank all of those over Forever...

That era of Wu-Tang is insane, I love all those albums just as much as Forever. They are all top 20 material, bar the bolded.

Look at my rep.

All 2Pac stans

I could have sworn you were a fellow Pac hater too.

Respect nonetheless.

I use to fukk with pac in the 90’s

his groupies definitely annoying and most weren’t old enough to be there. I don’t hate dude just be trollin his groupies and call out his contradictions still was a dope mc

Never liked how pac blamed big for ‘94 that was always my biggest issue

I was in high school when all pac albums dropped except the death row ones

Na

Wutang forever is a different type of album

Its like a book intro. Sets the tone. And makes reunited SMASH. 8 min intro to a 2.5 hr album. Non stop bars. It needed it in a way. Set the whole tone of the album. That it would be DIFFERENT. Rza made the right call on some ART shyt. It was like sitting at 5% meeting irl. It sets the entire theme up.

People who hate it are casual rap heads who want that quick mcdonalds like pop fix with a toy. They arent serious wu heads. This was a home cooked meal. With the fixings.

And The intro was saying grace, the prayer before we EAT. Ley me know this shyt was gon be monumental. 1 of a kind intro.

Anyone who skips wu revolution or second coming is not a wu fan like that.
Don't agree at all but i get the perspective

I mean listen

Musically, its the wrong move for a popular rap group. 99.9 percent of rappers should not or will not do this.

But from a defining hip hop act that are making a album that formed off asian themes, moved into mafia and blaxploitation, and finally hits on political / spiritual ideology making a 5% album at their peaknpopularity…

Its perfect. To me.

I get why people dont like it. Especially young. But as a grown up. I totally love it. And think this and 2nd coming are two of the illest wu tracks ever.

Def an acquired taste. But its one of the few intros that to me actually makes an album better instwad of instant skip.

Yeah, that might have been dismissive but I legit get what you mean. From that lens I get it, but I was too young and sonically it is bizarre...that wasn't the point of the intro though. Not for me, but for those it is, perfect.

When I think about the type of album this is, and the "fukk you" nature of dropping your first single with no hook and no bullshyt...hell yea sign me up for a long ass "fukk you" intro that had white kids hearing Five Percenter talk and no rapping lol.
:wow:

GOAT rap double album. I don't care what anyone says.
