Fighting the media/fans is a losing proposition for athletes
Saying “yikes” on a tweet you have turned into taking away time from practice and distracting him on the field.

**gets beat by kittle**
Teammate: “what’s going on Jamal??”
Jamal: “Connor Hughes, man!!”

:mjlol: :camby:

A lot of beat writers are not professionals in any sense of the word. It's often one of the most bare minimum effort jobs in terms of knowing what the fukk you're talking about. Mix that with proximity to players/coaches/owners/orgs and it's common for resentment and stupidity to stir. These guys will take personal or unprofessional pot shots at players all spring, summer, fall, and winter but throw a fit if anyone ever pushes back. They don't know coverages or assignments yet are constantly quick to shyt on guys for perceived fukk ups. I'd be fine with that if an a basic level of effort was put in to understand football.

It's like every media crew has a couple guys who actually look at all-22 tape and know some shyt, then the rest are just guys recycling the same generic stories all year. The other team wanted it more, the momentum shifted, they were better prepared, they didn't try hard enough, half time adjustments, etc. Football is probably the most popular thing that a large percentage of fans know little about and a major reason is just how bad sports journalism is in the country.

What Adams did was childish sure but he's just responding to years of weird, obsessive abuse from guys who don't even cover his team anymore. You see this OFTEN too. With the Lions for instance, Jeff Okudah didn't work out here, got traded to Atlanta. So why the fukk are Detroit beat writers gleefully pointing out Okudah whenever he has a bad game? He's not on your team anymore. This guy did everything right, worked hard, got injured and had to deal with one of the worst coaching staffs of ALL time (Matt Patricia) who ruined his development. How is any of that his fault?

Thank you for at least confirming you’re white.

Salute.
Spot on.

No need to care what dude has to say. He doesn’t understand Black culture. Black players arent letting that change a damn thing about their feelings on Jamal. Its his play that only matters.

The shyt is wild.

Take the “beat writer” that Jamal shyt on. Ive been shytting on him for his behavior for YEARS. He just makes shyt up. He spent weeks begging for Zach Wilson be benched, hyping up Tim Boyle. :russ: going as far as saying he was beloved by his teammates.

After one start, Tim Boyle is cut by the Jets. I keep asking the guy “how does this impact the Jets locker room since he’s so beloved?” :damn:

Of course, he says nothing because it’s absolute dog shyt. These guys just make shyt up. :laff:

What is this about Someone saying Jamal was good or bad?

The point is, you are giving Grace to a garbage ass New York media that are full of Ronkonkoma ass guys who don’t know shyt about football other than throwing players under the bus and overhyping garbage. Geno Smith would probably still be a jet. If Jets beat riders we’re honest or equipped to speak on what they saw at camp.

I can go back years and tell you how bad these guys are at covering football, and how their only job is to rail on players they don’t like even after they’re gone

Was the reporter talking about Jamals family or just his play on the field?
I’m going to repeat that… This reporter has been on his dikk for the past two years since he’s left. I kept marking. Why do you care? “Since Jamal was no longer a jet. There is nothing normal about the Jets beat.
