Get ready to retire then cause Todd McShay said he's going early 2nd round at worst and might sneak into the late first. Louis Riddikk said he would be the 4th QB off the board ahead of Kizer.

He wowed teams at the senior bowl, combine, and his pro day. His tape was better than they thought. And obviously he killed it in interviews.

He's had visits with the Chiefs and Steelers. Both teams desperate for a young QB to groom as a starter of the future. They Both pick in the late 1st round.

Don't be surprised if Dobbs goes to the Chiefs at 27 or the Steelers at 30. His floor is the Chargers at 38 who are targeting him as the heir to Rivers.
Kaaya has always been talented a pro style QB but he got to speed up his mental clock and step up in big games.

What is his flaw that is holding him back from being a high pick? This guy produced in the SEC against good competition and showed that he was a talent at the QB spot. Feel like he should be getting 1st round consideration but obviously he is not. What's the deal and reasons for that at least "according to the scouts."

His flaw is he stretched himself out too thin in college. His play was too inconsistent. He would have one game where he looked like a surefire 1st round pick. And then the following game he would look like an undrafted free agent. The main reason for this inconsistency was that at the same time he was trying to be a starting QB on an SEC title contender he was also studying to be a rocket scientist. He even admitted the course load affected his play. Before the South Carolina game this past year he said he was studying for some major aerospace engineering exam till 3am every night of the week leading up to the game. This fukked with his prep and he had the worst game of his career and it led to his team losing.

One of the reasons he's risen on draft boards in the past few weeks is teams think he has a lot more upside than the other QBs in this class for this very reason. For the first time in his life he's gonna be able to focus on football 24/7. Unlike the other QBs that have been focused on football since high school, Dobbs will be focused on football for the first time in his life after he graduates in May. This could allow him to improve at a faster pace than his peers since he has more room for growth.

This year Dak Prescott. Dead Serious. :smokey:

I'm hoping he goes to the Steelers for this very reason. Big Ben is always getting hurt like Romo. If they draft Dobbs and gets a chance, he might not give it back up. The Steelers are talented like the Cowboys and they could make a run with Dobbs as the starter.

I did one for Buddy Hield and he ended up being one of the best rookies in his class....

:what: He's not even a Rookie of the Year CANDIDATE.

Trogdon, Saric >>>>>>> Hield

Even Embiid >>> Hield , and that's even WITH the arguments against Embiid technically being a rookie.

If he's one of the best in his rookie class, then that says more about that CLASS than about Hield. :scust:

I DO like Josh Dobbs, though....and hope he succeeds.

That's the reason why he's rising. People are dead ass tryna find the next Dak so they see a black (ish) QB who fits the bill as a mid-round guy who might be "under the radar"

It's unfortunate for Dobbs because he'll end up going higher than he should with higher expectations than he should have out the gate. Dak fukked the game up for these cats :wow:

Dobbs is built for this. He's about mentally tough as it gets and has extreme confidence.

I would personally love to see him go to a team like the Steelers, Chargers, or Chiefs (who have all worked him out) than a team like the Browns or 49ers that are a rebuilding project.

The best case scenario is going to Pittsburgh and learning for a year behind and Big Ben and then taking over in 2018. Or if he has to play in 2017 he's a supporting cast around him like Dak did last year and he can also enjoy immediate success.

I respect Jaws,he knows his stuff . I would love to see Dobbs go to Steelers or Giants and sit behind Eli,or Big Ben.Learn the game from possible future hofers, take some pressure off for a year or two.I don't think he will be like Prescott but he is gonna have a great career.Plus he has the mental makeup obviously.
