Sorry, you dont get to use "its just one preseason game".

You have hyped this very flawed, mid-level prospect as the greatest professional sports player since Michael Jordan. You guaranteed that.

You said drafting Dobbs in the 2nd round would be a bigger steal than NE getting Brady in the 6th round.

You just guaranteed in this thread that he would win 2 of the next 3 SuperBowl MVPs :heh:

So when he plays like shyt in a preseason game you dont get to brush it off. The greatest professional sports prospect ever should look alot better than the flawed 4th round pick i watched yesterday
This. Swag will defend Dobbs or Kobe for having a shytty game and then turn around and make a whole thread on LeBron throwing a pass out of bounds:dead:

As the game went on, gotta admit, I like what I saw from him.

Don't know about him being Hall Of Fame level, but I think he'll definitely be a "starting caliber" QB at some point

Yup.

I got a good feeling the Steelers win 2 of the next 3 superbowls. Big Ben is old and injury prone. Wouldn't be surprised if he didn't make it to the end of this year.

This has to be the most preposterous thing I have ever read on this site.

And we'll see who has the last laugh.

Dude's acting like we haven't seen rookies throw bad picks before. It happens.

Dobbs however showed his ability with the plays he made after the rough start.
Breh thats all good....but you set yourself up for this L. Instead of just letting the breh prove himself you were making claims he was going to be Dak like ready and starting soon.

He made a few plays, he made some ugly plays. Thats fine. Right now he looks like a 4th round pick. Dak and Russ looked faster and far more poised out there early on.

Let Dobbs be Dobbs. Stop calling him a future Superstar until he shows signs of that. No Cowboys fans or Seahawks fans were over the top with their praise on Dak or Russ until late in the season with games racked up. Stop adding fuel to the fire..

I'd imagine this is like saying the Cavs will win the title next year after LeBron tears his ACL?

The only football player I'm comparing Dobbs to is this guy.
July13-EaglesQB-Randall-Cunningham3-350x262.jpg

There was a time in the late 80s/early 90s that Randall Cunningham was being called "the Michael Jordan of football" because of his incredibly exciting playing style. And because he was carrying the Eagles offense on his back.

Dobbs as a talent is similar to Randall Cunningham. Similar size. Similar athleticism. Similar arm talent. I would rate Dobbs higher than Cunningham mentally and he's also in a far better situation from a team perspective. Cunningham came into a flawed situation. He didn't have great talent around him on offense. And he a had a head coach more concerned with him running than advancing as a passer. Mike Tomlim will do a better job developing Dobbs. And with the young offensive talent Pittsburgh has drafted over the last couple of years, Dobbs is in about as ideal a situation as a young QB can have.

Quotes like these dont deserve a real response. Cunningham ham was a freak athlete with talent Dobbs no where near approaches. You're delusional and dont deserve a serious response

He's a rookie QB that got drafted in the 4th round. Don't know much about CTEBall but this doesn't bode extremely well.

But then again Brady is like the winningest handegg player ever and he was a 6th round pick. Don't know how often it happens :hubie:

I know guys from the past are always made into mythical figures. But from just watching tape of Cunningham (cause I was too young to have watched him play in his prime) I see a near carbon copy of Dobbs.

We'll see as Dobbs career progresses if more people come around to this point of view. I have a feeling they will. Remember I was the first to compare Alvin Kamara to Marshall Faulk. And then a few days into Saints training camp, Sean Payton said this: Payton compares Alvin Kamara to Marshall Faulk | NFL Team and Player News | Pro Football Focus

I feel as good about my Dobbs/Cunningham comp as I do my Kamara/Faulk comp.

Peyton said he has some traits that remind him of Faulk, not that this is 100% guaranteed the next marshall faulk. That also has nothing to do with you comparing a smaller, slower, less elusive QB with about 1 third the arm talent to a freak of nature like Cunningham.

So just to keep track Dobbs

Is Guaranteed to win 2 of the next 3 Super Bowl MVPs

Is The Michael Jordan of football

Would have been a bigger draft steal in the 2nd round than Brady in the 6th

The best prospect in the history of football

An equivalent athlete and talent to Randall Cunningham

Even sillier than that.

He's saying a backup rookie QB that's never taken a snap in the NFL is going to win 2 of the next super bowl mvps. Chances are he won't even start 2 games over the next 2 years.

Just sit back, relax, and get ready to witness the best thing to happen to the NFL since the invention of the forward pass. :smugfavre:
