One thing at a time. I asked the question, offer a response. I said the players could threaten to sit out. You said the coaches would take away their scholarships and replace them. Would they or would they not be able to replace the players in a week?

I think if a scholarship athlete refused to play in a game the decision would be above the coach's head, they'd replace said player with a back up, and eat whatever losses come from it. The TV contract wont go anywhere...the ticket sales won't be affected, and since the decision came from above the coach's pay grade his job would not be threatened.
