Dude is like 5'9. The low draft pick is understandable. The league has just shifted and is focused more on open passing lanes and fluid movement so defense has become much more team oriented.
Thomas is a smart help defender and it's easier to hide his liability with a great coach, defensive minded players, and a good scheme they all buy in and understand.
