im a jets mets and knicks fan but i just thank god that im not as hardcore a basketball and baseball fan as i am a football fan cause i would probably kill myself watching entire knicks game this year. i watched a few quarters of a few games here and there and its just so bad.
someday we will be back to the finals but not with melo as much as i like him.

That's really not that bad, they have a first round pick the next 5 drafts, only 1 of which will be swapped but it's still a first rounder.
You want to see ugly, look at what the Nets owe the Hawks and Celtics.

Yep. They have one shot next year (good luck) and then in 2017-19 miss out on 2nd round picks. Mind you those are valuable because they are cheap and you can just bump them in trades. Since the Knicks have none till 2020 they are somewhat stuck with waiting for Bargs + Stat contracts to run out or get traded. Good luck.
2nd round picks are valuable as trade chips. The contracts are also super cheap for the value you can get. Not having them is a pretty bad thing if you also have to wait on cap space. This means the rebuild isn't gonna start for some time without luck and great cap magic. I'm not trusting Phil with that.

It is a pick swap but the the Raptors end up with the Knicks' pick (The Godnani trade).
2nd round picks are easily acquirable, you seem to be overvaluing them.
Knicks will be fine. We have our pick this year, which is looking like it will probably be a top 5 pick. A TON of cap space for this summer, only people on the books for next season (Melo, Calderon, Pablo, THJR & Early). Phil Jax, knows what he's doing.
