Yeah Mudiay looks good but the NBA is just loaded with PGs and they could probably sign one or trade for one.

He is a superstar talent.

On the other hand, big men are just so hard to get in the NBA now and teams typically ask for a kings ransom for them.

You are correct about bigs (don't be surprised if we see a team make a trade for McGee this season). The Sixers already have Embiid, Saric and Noel, I just don't see Hinkie drafting another big (and hope he doesn't).

Take Towns or Okafor, make a run at Robin Lopez, Reggie Jackson, Brandon Knight, Goran Dragic and KJ McDaniels, try and trade Iman for a 1st rounder (:russ: that ship probably sailed) or to a team that needs a two and has a surplus of bigs (John Henson).

Don't really care for Lopez, I'd rather keep Cole Aldrich. Wouldn't mind Jackson, Knight or Dragic, it would just depend on what kind of money they were asking for.

I'm pretty sure the Sixers will re-sign KJ McDaniels.

I haven't given up on Shumpert yet, I really do like him and I don't want him to be traded.

Basically the Knicks need to forego the idea of landing a big name free agent and try to build around Melo and their draft pick by using free agency to add depth.

Agreed.

I'm scared that theyre gonna overpay for Monroe because of his passing ability for a big man that fits the triangle.I kind of agree with fact that they need to snap out of the dream of signing a huge name but at the same time I wouldn't just use all the money this offseason on role players and third tier stars because another route with the cap space is the ability to trade for disgruntled stars which happens often in the nba.

I think the Raptors end up with Monroe, they need a PF and considering his age I could see Masai jumping at him.

The thing is, you lock those guys into those contracts and in 2 years the cap rises and you have a team with established depth and the ability to go out and maybe sign 1 more high level player to go with them.

I need to add this, what they do in the offseason should be centered around whether or not it's Towns or Okafor they get.

Towns to me is going to be a 4 in the NBA, so pairing him with a center like Lopez would be a good start.

Okafor is going to be an 5 that struggles on defense, so targeting 4's in trades that can block shots like Henson would be the way to go.

Henson Wes Matthews and Okafor wouldn't be bad...

I'm still not sold on Towns I know the teams loaded but the knock on him has always been he's not aggressive enough and a bit soft

Only thing sweeter than them sucking is for them to suck and have to give up their own pick too for one of their past trades. :blessed:
Someone please tell me thats the case

fukk that they got there pick this year bruh

We gonna get okafor, towns, or Mudiay on a rookie deal:takedat:

Its too early to say who they get in FA or even if they spend a Max. Everything comes down to the draft. If they get okafor no way in hell do they then get monroe. I think they go after Goran. For them to go after Monroe I only think he is viable next to town or maybe Turner (both top 5 guys in my opinion) who can defend and score outside the paint. On the flip if they get Mudiay I am not sure what happens, but even then I doubt they go after Monroe.

who the fukk thought giving Melo that contract was a good idea?

they should have let him walk, maybe got a sign and trade and blew that team up

cant imagine phil is even a huge fan of him

most of the smarter knick fans including @I.V. wanted no part of giving him a 5 year max contract last year and then changed their tune once the offseason hit

how can you have less wins than the sixers?

They found a way.

The Knicks will be lucky to get a 1st rounder for Shumpert. I am all for trading anyone off this squad.

The core needs to be Towns/Okafor and Melo. Everyone else is expendable...
