Well, guess what? The Wizards told Tyrese he was THEIR pick.
Then Deni Avdija slid (he was mocked to go top 7). Tommy Sheppard couldn’t control himself and reneged on their call to Haliburton.
This is why Sheppard got fired.
This is more soul crushing than any of you other fan bases.

Wall didn’t play for two years
and Ish Smith is your only other PG

Also the Knicks originally planned on drafting both Maxey and IQ in the draft with IQ in the second round. Basically Philly took Maxey earlier than expected because he killed the work out and then the Knicks realized they was fukking up so they traded back into the first to get IQ ahead of where they had him originally. It was such an unorthodox pick they got made fun of at the time but the Knicks plan was:

Maxey
IQ
And based on college stats that wasn’t a crazy. Obi was the better college player, Maxey and IQ were just two kentucky guards who played well but didn’t go to the tournament.
I say all of that to say this, at least the Knicks had a plan that would of worked out great. A lot of other teams just fukked up.
