sheeit when I know i'm sitting on a bunch of vacation hours i'm at work because at least I have something to look forward to. And you got options, like taking your vacation when everything’s a shytshow at work so you don’t have to deal with the bullshyt

When you go back to work knowing you have zero and have to work an ungodly amount of hours to get them back…gotdayum

Give time to re-adjust without diving right back into it.

I always take a couple of days off before my vacation and two days off from the day I arrive back. I'm due to come back on a Friday my next vacation so I won't be going back to work until the Wednesday.

I learned to use all my PTO when I get another job offer lined up and I'm finishing onboarding papers.
Was off four weeks with PTO once then put my two weeks in when I had two weeks of PTO left.
Didn't start the new job until two weeks later. Six weeks off and got paid like usual.


Had to wait two weeks for the new paycheck though.
