Old people love to talk about the "end of the world". Maybe it's an ego thing. "If I'm going to die soon, the world will end with me". It gives them comfort. Truth is, things will keep going long after you're gone.

The world/planet aint going anywhere.

Now alot of people will try to say that these type of things have always been going on, and to a certain extent they have. But as a whole, world wide things are much worse than they were in times past, partly because now we have the means and ability for it not to be the way it is when it comes to certain area's. Yet people are still starving, getting deathly sick and them some.

It doesn't matter what they believed- it actually says in the Bible that no one, not even Jesus, will know exactly when the Day of Judgment will come.
