My guess the narrative of this game will be Ellie finds out why she is immune and the fate of her mother and seeks out a revenge quest against the fireflies? I doubt Joel is dead, especially going in(doesn’t mean he won’t die during the game. In fact I hope he does these titles need to take risks)

Neil said Joel isn't dead but you won't be playing as him much. Ellie is the main player and i'm guessing you'll play as Ellie's mom too.

There is usually a two year time period from reveal to actual release. LOU was revealed in 11 and came out 13. Same with UC4 revealed in 14 released in 16. Don’t see why the same won’t be for this

It's not coming next year breh. Spiderman, God Of War and Detroit are next year, Sucker Punch, Death Stranding and the last of us 2 are 2019. Days Gone might fall late 2018/early 2019.

Like I posted before, most likely June of 2019, similar to how the first came out in June of 2013.

Remember Uncharted 4 got revealed in November of 2013 and didn’t come out until May of 2016.

Last of Us 2 reveal in December of 2016, release in June of 2019.
