I finished the game up. Whats funny is I barely used shyt after reading this post :skip:

Once I got all the weapons I just hoarded the shotgun ammo and never used it again. I never got to use the flamethrower aside from a few enemies right when you first get it. Just straight up switching between the two pistols (near the end used the other scoped pistol for the armor guys), occasional bow and arrow, the regular rifle and had the shorty ready to save shotty bullets if they got too close but never really used that either. Liberal use of the bombs and molotovs though when shyt was serious :birdman:I was thinking I would wanna save the powerful weapons for the big fights but i never got to use them:why:

I only realized how powerful the smoke grenade is near the very end....nobody could see anything for mad long so you can just walk up and murk all :skip:

Most video games playing on the hardest difficulty is just trash. They just make it cheap. Make enemies into bullet sponges and you die quick.


The last of us on grounded changes the game.

No hud,no listen mode, crafting and using bricks and bottles becomes essential. You have to use the environment,stealth and your wits.


The choice to craft a shiv or something else can be life or death.


The gameplay becomes as brutal as the world it's in.


Anybody that says the gameplay wasn't good,or the game was a movie not a game has not played in grounded mode.

It's essential.

If it's half done 2018 is surely impossible. And they don't need it to come out next year anyway.

Neil Druckmann, Creative Director of the Uncharted and The Last of Us franchise for Naughty Dog, has shed some more light on the development process for The Last of Us Part 2.

In a podcast interview with the Game Maker’s Notebook, Druckmann talked about the recent Paris Games Week trailer.

Referring to the incredible cinematic experience presented in Paris, he said: “This and some other parts are like the most polished parts of the game because we knew we were going to show them, and now it’s like there’s a daunting task ahead of us.”



“We’ve got this slither of five minutes, now how do you make that into tens of hours of experience to look and feel that visceral, that kind of intensity? People don’t see that the rest of it – at different stages – is a broken mess.”

Druckmann says that 99% of the gamers he spoke to about the trailer were impressed, despite some mainstream media channels kicking up a fuss over the the violent scenes.

It’s difficult to gauge whether Druckmann is saying that different stages in the game are currently a broken mess, or they have been a broken mess in the past. But considering Paris Games Week was only a few weeks ago, and the team worked hard to polish it up to present the best possible trailer they could, it sounds like there could still be a way to go before we get The Last Of Us Part 2 release date.

I don’t take anything too literal from Neil..
His tweets are just as deceptive, tongue in cheek vague when it comes to this game..
He could mean that this game is way more visceral and will have the players emotions all over the place during each segment..
Even though he mentions polishing up certain things..
Just hard for me to believe him:russ::manny:
Either way, I hope they just take their time because the first game is a classic and this will be criticized heavily with think pieces and other shyt..
Minus Whale strive for perfection and make us wait:manny:
