As much as I didn’t hate Abby and liked her story, I absolutely do not want to see a 3rd game with her as the protagonist

Btw, I REALLY dont understand why I keep seeing people say instead of the flashbacks this game should of been presented chronologically, if that were the case you’d have ALOT more people unhappy with its pacing, damn near the first 5 hours would literally just be cutscenes and walking around next to people as they talk

Dina wasn't bad. Her loyalty put her over the top for me if everybody rode for their love like that, the world would be a little bit better off.

Jesse got screwed so badly lost his girl won't get to see his baby grow up, I don't even think he wanted to be there? I think he did it out of respect for Joel but more so to protect Dina. I also think he may have harbored some feelings towards Ellie but realized that shyt was never going to work.

I won't front I would have left both of them Imagine going on a quest for revenge while your ex getting her carpet refurnished by another woman.

I said it earlier, but he showed true loyalty as a friend to me. Sure he had to feel some type of way all around, but I think he did it out of platonic love for both than he did out of harboring feelings. I don’t remember the exact words, but Ellie talked greasy to him when he left to go save Tommy and she didn’t, yet he still came back and saved her ass.

And when they got back to the theater, Dina didn’t hesitate to make sure he was completely alright, but still went right back to Ellie. That was a fukked up situation between the 3, but they seemed to handle it pretty well up until Jesse got domed

I feel like this game implied that finding a cure doesn't matter anymore in part 1 it was the Fireflies goal and Ellie's need to make her life matter. But in part 2 it's basically a weird anecdote/secret in Ellie's life.

Actually one nitpick I have with the game is how the Fireflies only had Abby's dad as the only option to get a cure and once Joel wrecked everything that goal was thrown to the bushes. The Fireflies might've died as a faction but enough people went to other organizations to at least try to keep developing one, even if Ellie's existence was merely a myth (as basically most of the people that saw her in Salt Lake City got killed) there had to be at least a group of hopeful people that believed she was alive and wanted to get her back.

Game is only divisive because people are emotional idiots

nikkas saw Joel get offed, started seeing red and didn’t care to digest the rest of the game. Just started regurgitating what other loudmouth people on the internet are saying

I watched a review yesterday and dude articulated my thoughts, “you can’t even tell what the fukk the people that don’t like this game are mad about because they don’t even know what they are mad about”.

Like a breh said here earlier, if the story was some Kill Bill ride where Tommy dies and Joel and Ellie go across the country bodying people for it while telling each other shyt like “I’m gonna protect you” nikkas would be happy as shyt

Nah this is dishonest. nikkas are mad for legit reasons. It's not about Joel dying, it's THE WAY he died. Joel and Tommy are long time survivors. The fact that they let their guards down around the WLFs and even offered them to come back to Jackson and stock up on ammo was stupid and out of their characters. A YouTuber said it perfectly, it would've worked better if Joel was the one who needed help and Abby saved him. Then it would make sense for him having his guard down being as though he'd feel in debt to her. Don't sell us this bs that Joel is some bumbling idiot who can't read the room. And mind you all this is happening in the middle of a fukking blizzard.

So that's the first thing.. the next is the ending.

We spent the majority of the game wanting revenge for Joel and put all this effort in only to fukking save Abby and let her free. Killed all her friends, everyone she cared about and Ellie drops her guard and let's her go. If anything, at that point Abby should've killed Ellie. The fact that neither one kills the other is just stupid. We all know Joel or any male lead would've got the job done. The fact that Ellie even let's her go after just getting 2 of her fingers bitten off was just dumb on top of dumb.

First off Joel and Tommy had been living the soft life for years at this point. They would look like nuts in Jackson if they were constantly on edge at every new face. And aside from that Abby did save Joel...they were pinned in by the horde and Abby took them to where they were posted so as far as Joel knew at that point, they crew did just save him.

As far as the ending, I was okay with it for the most part. I can see why others aren’t but I don’t see it as some game ruining thing. Both of them have been through soooo much by that point. People have different breaking points and they both had endured enough that it was justified that they were both done with it at that point.
