TLOU3 should be set 5 years after TLOU2. Where we play as an elderly Ellie. As she goes on one last mission for a cure. Let Abby return as a cyborg ninja fighting against the Scars.

*Ellie lifts bonuculars overlooking new firefly camp

”kept you waiting, huh?”

Somewhere tropic...
Finding the cure
Re-establishing the Fireflies
Games have been made on weaker premises
Druckmann already said he had an idea now he pussing out
Also, the theme for a 3rd game doesn't have to be the same as the 2nd
Just as the 2nd wasn't the same as the 1st

That’s the ending nikkas want. Add in a Joel force ghost on some Star Wars shyt, to tell Ellie she did a good job, and nikkas would throw money at the screen :ohlawd:

nikkas don’t know what they want. The same ones that complain about spider-man 2 or ragnarok being ”too safe” want a safe sequel for Last of Us

Very unpopular opinion but I think they should redo TLOU Part 2 and set it in an alternate timeline where
Joel didn’t die and they both went out to find another way to get a cure but encounter new and potentially old enemies along the way.

Realistically there’s no story left to tell since Joel is dead and Ellie lost most of her fingers and probably can’t even shoot a gun correctly.

Like @Ezekiel 25:17 said, TLOU 2 was very poorly written and it basically gave us very few options for a Part 3.

:why:
fukk NO!

TLOU 2 was perfect as is. Y’all just need to stop crying over Joel.

Yea, i'll have to disagree on TLoU2 being "poorly written". I considered it GOAT storytelling :manny:

I'd never felt more invested in a game's story, characters, and outcome like i did in that game.

shyt, all I play are "movie games" and whether past or present (Mass Effect, GoW, BG3, CyberPunk, etc) none hit like TLoU2

Can any of the brehs talking about the game being about "finding a cure" explain how the hell would they write in a compelling fashion the fact that TLOU universe would NEVER find peace to make a cure work? :jbhmm:

Let's make an old Ellie go sacrifice herself for a vaccine that would get either destroyed or used as a political weapon by 1 of the many factions that exists in a small ass region of the U.S.

:dead: at the Fireflies getting a vaccine, wanting to go cross country to mass produce it and get ambushed ASAP and killed by either another faction or infected :laff:

What a game!!

Actually a vast majority fanbase simply wanted Joel and Ellie to continue on as a unit. Go ahead and explain why I'm wrong. That's what folks expected. The way the first game ended left a huge gap in Ellie and the cure and making the world a safe place again.

And now you have the HBO crowd who never even played the game disappointed that Joel died.

Just like they wanted that for god of war until they didn’t

the HBO crowd isn’t throwing a fit over Joel being dead either. TV Viewers aren’t emotionally stunted simps

What a game!!

Naughty Dogg can do whatever the hell they want, that's the magic in being the story teller. It just so happens part 2 makes much less sense than your reasoning of not finding a cure.

I wouldn't mind a 3rd story set in the not-so-distant future with a completely new character dealing with the new reality and learning what happened to Ellie and Abby, either through footage and findings, or through other characters telling it. I'd rather they not continue that story and tell a new one that references it
