TLOU3 should be set 5 years after TLOU2. Where we play as an elderly Ellie. As she goes on one last mission for a cure. Let Abby return as a cyborg ninja fighting against the Scars.

Ellie did kill 3 of Abby's friends. Wouldn't it make sense for Abby to even the score?:patrice:

Before part through I want a 1.5. I want to see all the foul shyt that was hinted about that Joel and Tommy did as well as the building of the community They should've done that for the part 2 DLC.

As far as part 3 I would love to see Abby come back for revenge on the people who took her captive and had her and Levi hanging outside. Or better yet turn Abby into a full blown villain. Show her seeking refuge for her and Levi and fighting her way through various settlements who are turning away newcomers. Have her eventually come upon a settlement of nice people who have a solid thing going but a weak defense system. Have Abby with her experience go from just happy to have somewhere safe to live to putting the camp on the offensive and rounding up her own defense team and putting them on the offensive. At some point have Levi realize she's getting out of control and switch the gameplay to her as she abandons the safe haven at some point only to hear how out of control Abby has gotten so she comes back to take her down to save the rest of the settlement.

Not for me, but for the fan base. Again, if you're were a fan of the original game, you'd understand. Instead y'all accept anything that sticks and refute all good talking points on why the entire plot sucks.

The game sold well because of the gameplay and graphics. Story wise it was ass.
So the only way to be a real fan of TLOU is thinking the 2nd game was badly written. Noted.

You are talking to me like I'm someone you've argued about this before which is fukking hilarious. I have no idea what "good talking points" I'm even refuting.

I legit asked a question about how would anyone write a "cure" plot for the 3rd game in a compelling fashion in a world where it's been made crystal clear that humanity is far too gone and it will destroy anything remotely positive it can manage to arise. I didn't see any good talking point about that. Just you telling me I'm not a real fan and so other weird babble :bryan:

-Fire flies didn't bother waking 12 yr old Ellie, knowing she could be killed. Joel and Ellie could've parted ways on their own terms

-The doctor could've gave up Ellie, they wouldn't have made it far. Instead this nikka runs and gets a scapel against an armed Joel.

-Joel is painted in a bad light despite saving Ellie, helping Henry, Sam, and saving Abby

-At the end of it all, Ellie doesn't get revenge and loses her family

Poor plot. :manny:

I got it.

What would Ellie’s motivation be to do anything other than stay in Jackson with Dina and their child?

Has to be huge.

Maybe…a cure. It has to be a cure.

What if Lev lets Abby know that the Seraphites actually have a working cure…but they keep it secret in attempt to bring about the second coming of their Prophet or some shyt.

Ellie gets word of this (somehow), and sets off to the Seraphite stronghold (somewhere in southwest, maybe Phoenix)

So Lev and Abby set off toward Phoenix, and Ellie sets off to Phoenix as well.

Ultimately they meet up and fight. Lev breaks up the fight but gets killed in the process. Abby and Ellie decide to end their differences and jointly pursue the cure, somewhere deep in Phoenix.

The story ultimately ends with both of them going back to their settlements with vials of the cure in hand.

The first two points are about the 1st game you said real fans are all about :dwillhuh:

The third point is relative, Joel is painted in a bad light in the POV of the WLF/Fireflies. Through flashbacks we are shown his deep connection to Ellie, the Museum section is one of the most emotional rides I've ever seen in gaming, probably the most :mjcry:

Yes, Ellie's story is tragic and unsatisfactory, which is the whole message of the 2nd game: don't get consumed by revenge, nothing good comes out of it.

I don't know man. Me understanding why people don't like the 2nd game or its story has never translated in me thinking it was a badly written game but alas, we ain't gonna be agreeing on anything regarding this subject :heh:

Using the main character of the previous game as a plot device like John Wick’s puppy and basically demanding you find a way to relate to and like the lunatic who traveled cross country to torture him to death in front of his family even as she remains unapologetic about it is not good writing. It’s even worse when the dynamic between the two leads was the entire appeal of the previous game and it’s sequel ends on a note of “everyone loses and nobody grows or betters themselves”. There’s a lot of interesting places they could be gone with the story and they chose to go a route that critics loved but half the audience hated because the guy in charge of the studio thinks he’s making something beyond a video game.

:manny:
They went the route it needed to go and that route made it a classic. There’s very few changes I’d make. It was a joy to play the 3-4 times I ran through it.

It would have been a waste to play it safe, it would be one thing if they came out in yearly or every other year installments. The story has always been brutal and messy. The sequel just kept that tradition.
