It's part prequel, part addition to the main story. If you play it before the main game you'll be spoiled big time.

Anyway, I liked the DLC. It's on the short side but honestly, fifteen bucks for roughly two-three hours of gameplay (depending on your difficulty) isn't a bad purchase either IMO. The story itself fell a bit flat, we all know how the prequel section will end and the main story addition feels like it was added mostly to justify some action gameplay. Speaking of, during the main game I kinda missed combat situations where you had to deal with both hunters and infected at the same time, and to see that added here was pretty great. That final battle was pure chaos.

Season pass includes every dlc up to Left Behind. It's worth it if you're into the MP but just to get Left Behind, nah.

I heard the last dlc will be a new MP mode coming out spring, which even the Season Pass holders will have to pay for.

Yea just saw that a few minutes ago. Suck because I just paid an extra 5 for the season pass on Friday to get it. I already downloaded it months ago on the computer anyway. Grabbed the amazon one anyway.
