She caters to the Maga "antiwoke" bs. racial undertones in shyt she says. Last time I saw a clip it was her spouting bs( ) about the breh's hair in Superman playing Mr. Terrific. That is breh's natural hair. He wears his hair like that in several projects like For All Mankind. On top of that it seems to be comic accurate. But she calling it "a little black power, and too political", "I wouldnt have the character looking like that, I wouldve made him cool and sexy" .

And like I said, breh straight up rocks his hair like that regularly out of role. Any role I've seen him in he has a fro. Loc pic below is apparently from twilight

This isn't even a casting thing.

As great as Chernobyl was, Mazin, it seems like, just doesn't get Ellie. No matter who you cast as Ellie, Mazin calls her incompetent so she was always going to be written this season as kind of dumb, even though the game and the first season makes it a point of showing that she's actually smart as fukk.

This season is full of people saving her or coming up with plans/strategy because she can't do it. It's her going against everyone's wishes, getting herself and/or others in trouble and needing to be saved and then scolded after. That's now how it was in the game.

Chernobyl was clearly fool's gold. What did Mazin creatively brought to the table? Speaking British English accent instead of a terrible Russian English accent? Consolidating many people into one character? Having absolutely stellar aesthetic?

I mean... We saw his best scene in the LoU in entire series right here.



And it clearly paints a picture of what Maxin excel at...

if they got the casting and story right, folks in this thread wouldn't be complaining (outside of being a contrarian fakkit). My wife maybe saw 5 mins of the TLOU game franchise combined; even SHE tapped out of the series because shxt got weirder and dumb in the second season. Ellie's character devolved into an incompetent lackey.

I didn't hate it but didn't love it either. Ellie wasn't written very well. All the complaints I been seeing were accurate. She basically stumbled around like an amateur. Joel and Tommy apparently taught her absolutely nothing.
