This shyt is bordering on the Walking Dead post season three territory of poor writing.

Maggie not giving a single thought about her missing sister all season until she showed up dead was the worst writing I've ever witnessed. :russ:

I will say its kinda dumb considering they set up the opening of the show with her kicking some guys ass way bigger than even owen was.

add the fact that I believe episode 4 or 5 where Ellie and Dina going to some warehouse in Seattle and find a bunch of WLF killed & hung by the Scar and a couple of WLF come in with automatic weapons as they hide till Ellie windsup behind a soda machine and takes down a 6 foot dude and nearly chokes him out

as I said, in the beginning, the writing for this is fukking atrocious

She caters to the Maga "antiwoke" bs. racial undertones in shyt she says. Last time I saw a clip it was her spouting bs(:mjpls: ) about the breh's hair in Superman playing Mr. Terrific. That is breh's natural hair. He wears his hair like that in several projects like For All Mankind. On top of that it seems to be comic accurate. But she calling it "a little black power, and too political", "I wouldnt have the character looking like that, I wouldve made him cool and sexy" . :mjpls:

And like I said, breh straight up rocks his hair like that regularly out of role. Any role I've seen him in he has a fro. Loc pic below is apparently from twilight

I had no idea he was playing Mr Terrific. I’ve seen him in so much stuff, I should know his name by now.

I dont get the concerns of the writing for ellie, this is literally the games story :dead:. If you didn't like the game you damn sure wouldnt like this, ellie was a immature psychopath in the game too

And nah, it’s disingenuous to say Ellie’s poor depiction is simply a literal translation from the game. They took creative liberties (as is common), which is fine, but in the process they made her character look worse than they needed to.

I already explained: In the game, Eugene ain’t bit by a zombie, Joel does not shoot Eugene in the woods (he dies of natural causes, offscreen), and so there is no encounter with Eugene’s wife (now widow) about what happened.

That whole situation in the show was the writers calling an audible to have a “breaking point” of Ellie and Joel’s relationship. The problem is they made up a situation that nobody would take Ellie’s side on and worse most would be furious with how she gaslighted Joel in front of the widow.

Same with the “barging in on Ellie with a girl on her bday”. Not in the game, the writers thought including it would make ppl sympathetic to her (esp with Joel’s lgbt comments), but it’s the opposite effect.

This was failed wwe booking 101: the writing is supposed to protect the baby face. The creative liberties should aid in that prerogative. But too often it didn’t do that.

Nah, this was so bad that even people that were roasting the shyt out of the game were saying the game did it better.
