Eh, I kinda get what Dave is saying. It doesn't have to be about wearing a suit or shyt like that. Swerve looks like a superstar way more than Ospreay and he has the same amount of freedom as bruv, he just has way more style and knows how to be perceived as a big deal, something that Ospreay probably doesn't care but wouldn't hurt if he did :manny:

No one cares about that except nerds

Nah I get what he’s saying though lol

There’s a reason the hurt syndicate sticks out like a sore thumb in a good way on AEW tv, and their appearance play a major part in that. Not saying everyone needs to dress like them, but presentation absolutely does shape perception and they present really cool. Think of it as a viewer who doesn’t watch regularly or know much about the show. These guys would immediately stand out because of the way they’re presented lol

Not saying I agree with Meltzer but I get what he’s saying. I also don’t think AEW gives a fukk tho. It’s a company for the junkies and they’ve fully embraced that and aren’t really trying to appeal to people outside of that circle so it’s a moot point

Isn't there a thread somewhere around here about how Roman dresses like shyt. fukk what somebody wears. Politicians wear suits all the time and they still don't command my respect. Stop worrying about how other men dress.

:heh:
I got more respect for someone who says fukk the rules and norms than someone who bootlicks

The way the Hurt Syndicate dress are appropriate for how they present themselves as business men who are in the business of hurting people.

Ospreay presents himself as a common bloke from the streets of England who also happens to be an elite wrestler, and thus his attire fits his character. Now if you want to argue that shouldn’t be his character then that’s an entirely different story.
