The thing that Tony Khan represents is a place for a guy like Ospreay to go have his "bangers" and still get rich off it.. So Will don't have to sacrifice anything that he likes to do and he still got the money and an easier road schedule.
I feel the same way

I feel like more than half the WWE locker room - especially the younger guys and the women, did not grow up with the goal of becoming a pro wrestler. A lot of the best ones, Bianca for example, were approached about it as her time in athletics was winding down, and she just happened to take to it after the fact.

A guy like Ospreay was probably watching Japanese matches at 14 and wanting to be on that level. Them types of wrestling is my dream ass nikkas make sense for AEW

Ospreay's introduction is an interesting one to me - he says his first experience of wrestling was being shown TNA by his friends (an AJ Styles match) - the little spell where TNA were genuinely a second company led to kids/teens falling in love with the industry but not conditioned by the "New York style" and they lead their careers as such.

I wonder what the kids who come up watching Will, Swerve and Kenny in AEW will be like :lupe:

At least they kept it short. Was a neat moment, he had a couple of good spots. Nick Wayne is a tremendous seller too, which helped.

Yeah, he was basically there to get a pop in Detroit and put Nick over. I’m not mad at it.

I’m watching this Okada and Kevin Knight match and man.. Okada really came to the states to phone in his performances and get paid lol. Nakamura taught him well

I read that in Ospreay's voice, and I said "Bee-yahn-ker".
:francis:

Ospreay's good, but that's the kind of talk that got his ass kicked by Vader.

But nah, if you're a professional wrestler, you should feel like you're better than everyone else, especially the competition. People getting worked is hilarious.

He always phoned it in for NJPW shows in America.

I like when people get outraged over stuff like this. The fukk he is supposed to say, “Roman Reigns is the GOAT and I want to worship him?”
