1.) AA's have literally done the impossible a trillion times, reparations once it becomes a priority won't be shyt, you should know better than to underestimate us.


2.) So we going to act like the AA culture isn't so mainstream to the point of the ethnicity being "invisible" to most blacks that they kinda forget about it our identity? You going to act like AA's recognizing and affirming their identity (aka divisiveness/ethno nationalism/ tribalism) ain't going to shell shock the non AA blacks that took the culture, the people and their accomplishments for granted????

My grandfather, all the way to his dying breath, proclaimed his desire for me to assume his pastoral mantle upon his death. His children had failed him..my father choosing to run away into music, drugs and degeneracy and my uncle desiring a more comfortable life in a secular world far from New York.

As much I loved you, you erred greatly to think I would gladly inherit your crown plated in gold. Pontificating like a holy man while you hid your b*stards away from your wife, leaving me as a kid to sit outside your office.. alone in silence while you enmeshed yourself in your many trysts. You died by reason of your hypocrisy, you performed very carelessly and you abused the responsibility of your office..this I knew of even as a child.

I am not satisfied with dogma, my belly is full of the empty rhetoric of ministers, priests and pastors. Is that the life you wanted for me? Making profit off of women, children and an assembly of the gullible does not betroth me to the power I seek. You did leave me with a thirst to develop my skills, to seek truth and to empower myself spiritually beyond what the witch taught me.

Would you be happy to see me as I am now? I have succeeded by good measure, I have attained respectability by my profession and I have done as you have asked in doing my best to keep my loyalties to family. I've done the best I can while doing what I felt is right, no matter the cost.

I might do the same for both of them..when you hear about a Black person's murder you usually just get a name and two dates, that's usually it, maybe it's wrong to pry into a stranger's life but more awareness, the better
