@Regine Hunter
here is the skincare routine I said I would post a while back. follow the routine in this order a.m and p.m. follow the routine in the order it is presented. and finally no more black soap, acv, or witch hazel that stuff is too irritating acidic for your skin.
1. cleanser: CeraVe foaming cleanser, use it with lukewarm water
2. exfoliant: don't use physical exfoliants, chemical ones are better. I recommend a BHA (beta hydroxy acid) such as salycilic acid to deal with acne and hyperpigmentation. specifically, I recommend Paula's Choice CLEAR Extra Strength Anti-Redness Exfoliating Solution with 2% BHA Salicylic Acid for Severe Acne. apply, the solution to your face with a cotton pad and then wait a minute or two.
3.moisturizer: I recommend a carrier oil of your choice such as grapeseed oil, argan oil etc. this is because they are anti-inflammatory (won't cause acne) and are very beneficial for the. you don't need to slather it on and a little goes a long way.
4. sunscreen: sunscreen makes all of your skincare products more effective by shielding them from the sun. it also reduces the appearance of dark spots caused by acne. by never skip sunscreen, especially if you're using a BHA. if you don't you'll age your skin faster basically. apply this as your last step, 15 minutes before you go outside. you need to apply at least a a penny sized amount for sunscreen to be effective. I personally recommend Palmer's eventone spf 30.
p.m: the same routine except without the sunscreen
