Two Major factors that I know of. Med schools only have so many seats for a school year, so out of all that apply and may meet the requirement, only a fraction of them actually get in.Do you know why they normally reject people? Like Is it something with her application, grades or maybe too many applicants? It may help to have someone look over her application. Maybe if she can talk to some doctors at a hospital or something and they give her some pointers? I'm not sure how it works sorry.
Tell her to start creating a new list of schools to apply to.
Second, Most med schools like to take in students that are residents of their state and not too many out of state applicants, so her chances are even slimmer. My sis applied to mostly out of state med schools, she did apply to MCG here in Georgia, but they didn't accept her today.
So the three schools that are left id University of Alabama, University of South Carolina, and Howard University.
