I've been looking at getting life insurance for a minute now. Probably close to a year. Mainly because I couldn't find an African American insurance broker. Well, I found one!! My friend's husband sells insurance and I'm meeting with him tomorrow. I talked to him yesterday and like the salesman he is, he tried to sell me a bunch of BS products. I told him I'm only interested in Term life, no add ons. After repeating that a good 5 times...nice and stern like. He got the point. He was like "wow, you really know what you want". Yeah son, don't try to play me.
I did a quote and I'm hoping the policy will cost less than $40 a month and I'm trying to pay it up for the year.

Came back from my lunch. He placed 1) bag of chips 2) Soda that was wet and leaving a mess 3) his phone on my desk. He was working at this 2nd desk at the time so I didn't wanna go over there and place it on his desk. I ended up putting it on the ground, away from my eyesight.
10 minutes later, dude was dumbfounded and asked himself "Why did I leave my stuff on the floor!?" He might have been playing smart though, he knew I placed it on the ground.

He's my boss and is a "director" of the agency.
Office manager I guess. He's been an employee for like 38 years, the longest employee we have. Since he has seniority out of everybody, he gets away with murder. It is "his" agency. It's "his" copy machine. It's "his" desks.
He's not going away anytime soon, will be here until he passes or retires at 75/80. So.. I just gotta deal with it

I made some actual cheese grits this morning instead of making cheese polenta with this surplus of extra fine corn meal I got laying around.
Discovered I like polenta far better. Will never go back to eating grits again.
shyt's great, though. Cheese polenta (corn meal, chicken broth, cayenne pepper, onion powder, bacon grease, tabasco sauce, heavy cream, 3 types of cheese), scrambled eggs+red pepper flakes+green onions+diced cherry tomatoes, shrimp+bacon+garlic+old bay.
Them lil 5 dollar bags of shrimp you find in the frozen food section is the lick.
you can eat like a king, even if you broke.
