So, this is what happened to Saturday Morning Cartoons.....

I'm a 80's baby so I remember when growing up there was a mixture of afternoon and Saturday morning cartoons. Tbh, looking back on it the morning & afternoon cartoons were better than the Saturday morning ones. I remember coming up watching TMNT, MOTU, Woody Woodpecker, GI Joe, C.O.P.S., Dennis The Menace, Thundercats (He-Man rip off if you ask me). The Saturday morning joints were ok but I would be waiting for WWF Superstars to come on at 11. Once cable came into play and they started getting rid of the weekday cartoons in the morning/afternoons they start slowly watering down the cartoons in the late 90's. To me cable played a very big part in the demise of Saturday cartoons like the video suggested.
