I'm firm believer in buying people's loyalty. THey have to get SOMETHING out of it. I can never understand how people expect loyalty when they havent earned/paid for it
On Friday i told my manager i'm resigning. As usual, they offered the match what the other company is offering me but at the same time I get the sense that they expect me to show some level of loyalty to them just because they are matching the salary and I've been with them a long time.
I've been there almost 7 years and have only gotten a raise when I threaten to leave. I dont feel i should have to go through all that to get a raise. I don't care how much the company is struggling . First time i tried to leave these fukkers gave me a $15K raise within 7 hours of me telling them i interviewed for another job. So it's not that they cant.
