Good job staying positive breh.

A long time ago, when I worked at Burger King in junior high school. I was on drive-thru. I got nice at it and kept a positive attitude. I had fun with it and worked like l knew what the future held.

So one day, this woman named Marcia comes in and offers me a job working at her clothing store. I got on, selling mixtapes and incense. It was a nice little gig. From there, another dude noticed my outlook and work ethic, and hired me to work at Camelot Music at the mall.

One time, I was working as a night auditor for a hotel down south. This dude that was the District Manager for a Rent-To-Own company just offers me a Manager position at one of his stores. Just off the strength, breh.

So what I am saying is, just keep up the good work. You never know who is watching. But even if no one is watching, live up to your potential, just for your own pride.

I always tell service workers that I appreciate and notice their efforts, skill, or hospitality.

Nice.
Thank you, and good job.

You went to college right? How did you transfer that kind of grind over to your school work though? For me I have trouble focusing on my school work sometimes and I'm not sure how to exactly grind with school.

What are you doing now?

Do you have any goals you're aiming for?

Yes. Went I to college.

I knew that I wanted white-collar work....so I felt that education would be key.

My key was to balance working whatever job I had WITH my academic pursuits. If you stop learning while at a job that you feel should be temporary, you may be there permanently. Conversely, if you keep learning, even while working a menial job, you will view it as just a pit-stop to learn additional skills and support yourself on your way to another position that you have worked to qualify for.

A degree isn't a requirement for success though. Nor is it a guarantee of success.

Research areas of interest that are possible ways by which you can support yourself. Trade schools are valuable also. You just have to know the end-game. And you can't quit.

But,if you don't want to stay where you are, you are either going to rely on 'luck' OR you will have to spend time outside of work focusing on learning an additional skill.

This will be a temporary sacrifice, but it has to be done if you want change.

What did you get your degree in?

No, I'm starting to realize that, but a degree is going to increase my chances.

I'm in Applied Linguistics, and I'm working towards getting into an exchange student program to go to Germany for a year, that way I can return and have 2 degrees.

I am just wanting to work on getting the BEST grades that I can get. I suppose the only logical response is to study harder!

I am just WORKING To be the Best that I can be in anything.

I've got other endeavors like Music and Martial arts and trying to move out of my moms house (I'm 24),

But I'm still working at bettering myself at my job, I even work on thursdays behind the counter, so I can have training with that, and after I get that I want to work towards getting a job as a Barista or waiter because that job pays a lot more.

LOL. You are on the right track.

Do a great job there. Something great, but probably unpredictable, will happen. Be excellent where you are and keep up with your studies. But also keep your two hobbies.

My BS degree is in Accounting.
