just hordes coming at you? that would be boring when there's so many different ways to go about it. a massive online multiplayer with different factions, last group standing, etc.

Hordes fighting in a free for all. That would be the realistic option.

To add fun would be different factions of course or create your own faction and recruit members and some factions and members will be loyal and some will turn against you and some will have one traitor etc.
