Ever since Trump was elected, I have noticed Black women have been making sure they are physically close to Black men. The sister who works in my building but hardly ever speaks, now visits my office at regular intervals through out the day. Her and a sister who doesn't even work in the same building now come over to have lunch with me in my office. One of my friends says it's the same at his job. On campus I see groups which were just Black women or Black men, now being a mixture of the two. Seeing this kind of solidarity is refreshing, and I'd like to see something positive come out of it, rather than it being a temporary thing.
