So, there's this dude at my job that was in the same group as I was for training. And since they assigned our spots across from each other we talk between phone calls. Nice guy; came here from Nigeria to go to school. At first he couldn't tell I was Ghanaian obviously because of my accent. Dude is cool.
Today, he started asking me about church. Which one in the city I go to. I explained to him that I don't go to any at the moment (didn't want to turn the conversation with talking about my beliefs, even though he kinda did... I just remained silent), and he invited me to go to a church concert. I tried very nicely to tell him how tomorrow was my day off and I had some errands to run, so "I'll say a strong maybe, weak no for now. If I do come I'll just drop by". I still have issues saying no to people, I also didn't want to blatantly say it and offend him either.
I'm probably not gonna go. Nice guy, but nah… church ain't my thing.
