-I received a message on linked in about a 3 month assignment, so I tried something different. I asked for a specific amount for 800 project hours over a course of 14 weeks and to be paid by 1099. If they agree to it, I could have non-mortgage debt paid off by summer. It requires some discipline because I have to remember to pay taxes, but I'd much rather get the debt paid off fast and then pay the taxes all at once at a later time. I don't think I ever want to get paid via W2 ever again.
-Filed my taxes yesterday. I ended up using TurboTax small business and had them take the money out my refund. I think it was like $136 altogether which is still less than the accountant. I feel good this time because I did some good record keeping and had some guidance on what I can write off when I was a realtor.
