Naw they probably just got a JP account. I got both a Japanese and Singapore PSN account for my games that are in different regions. I usually prefer singapore games because those usually come with english subtitles, asian exclusive games like Gundam Breaker which I've posted here a couple times. Nier, just like the demo, had the japanese version that came complete with both english dub and subtitles, so it's really that easy to just buy it and play it for an english speaker.nikkas on Twitch must of had those special JP connects because I saw so many damn streams of the game last week![]()
It's more complicated for me though because I'm completely digital this generation and I game share ALL my Xbone and PS4 games with my little brother, we only have to buy one copy and get to share it. But when you make japanese PSN accounts, in order for it to work for you main PSN account you have to make your PS4 the primary system for the JP account, and if I did that, my brother wouldn't get access to it. And sometimes dealing with DLC can be a complete mess too.
