I started reading the manga and it's fukking jokes. Atmosphere is completely different from the movie. How many episodes are there in the anime?
You can start anywhere. As far as classics go you can watch Elfen Lied, Trigun, Fullmetal Alchemist (Brotherhood is the revamped version that's kinda sorta better, both are good), Blade, ect.
