Seriously they don't put CD players in laptops anymore? What if I still wanted to play my music CD's or DVDs? I've had my laptop for 4 yrs now the only way I'm getting rid of it is if it crashes or when I can't do software upgrades anymore.

They do have those drives...but the push these days are for content that's streamable or already downloaded installers so you don't actually need the CD/DVD itself.

I still see some with a disk drive but there seems to be more without it. Every time I see a laptop I like, there is no disk area. It's hard finding one on a smaller computer. Is there no room? I don't know what the problem is.

You become very accustomed to being alone.

What this results in is that it's going to be very hard to make connections in the future. You are going to change from the isolated mentality, you are going to, you are going to either crave friendship or emotional intimacy from a woman and you will have a much harder time making these types of connections due to the fact that you are for the most part self-sufficent inside and out. You can't change who you happen to fall in love with or want to impress and she just may want to see some sociability around you whether at a party or just making connections in general.

Like me for example, my current girl would love for me to be able to actually flourish at a party but alot of the times I can't stand parties and if I try to be sociable like she wants I have a hard time because i'm always asking myself "Why? Why do I need to talk to these people, I don't really need them in my life and I'm not looking for them in any way."

Or some good friends of mine that I'd love to be able to share their podcasts and help them out and build their base but since I'm not too socaible and have a hard time making those connections due to self-sufficency. I can't really help them cause I don't know where to start.

This type of isolated mentality in my experience is the definition of a double-edged sword. I became very successful and became my own person and no one can really tell me shyt...but on the other hand there's going to be situations and connections you are going to want to make and you will have a very very hard time following through. My looks and career only get me so far, I have an advantage that I like to flirt and and very good at it but if a woman was to bring me to a party or her parents and such I have a very hard time making my personality show and these are qualities that are extremely overlooked.
